Why we picked this deal

Generac's 28kW standby bundle with 200A switch and ecobee thermostat is on sale

This bundle (model 7329) pairs Generac's 28kW air-cooled standby generator with a 200A service-entrance-rated automatic transfer switch that has built-in whole home surge protection, plus an ecobee by Generac smart thermostat. It's meant for larger homes that want whole-house backup with cellular remote monitoring.

Core Generator Services lists a sale price of 9319, down from a regular 9599. The transfer switch is part of the bundle, but installation, permits and gas-line work are still extra.

Good fit if

You want the biggest Generac air-cooled unit with the switch and thermostat in one purchase.

Skip it if

A smaller generator would cover your home's loads, or you'd rather not pay for the ecobee thermostat.
